Billie Eilish is an American singer and songwriter. The 19 year-old star first gained public attention in 2016 with her debut single "Ocean Eyes", which was subsequently released by Darkroom, a subsidiary of Interscope Records.

Her first song was initially for dance classes, but she put it on SoundCloud with the help of her brother Finneas, and officially released Ocean Eyes, her first song and hit single, in 2016.

2017: the year of big things

dsam dsam_tour

2017 is Billie's "don't smile at me" era. With silver hair and her first-ever EP, Billie pathed the way to the future of her music career. Billie's brother, FINNEAS, who is also an artist, helped write most of the material and helped with the production of the EP. From "idontwannabeyouanymore" to "bellyache", Billie managed to rack up billions of streams across all music streaming platforms.

2018: the year of singles and collabs

My personal fav Billie Eilish era: 2018. This year, the star collabs with Khalid to create "lovely." While also being her first collaborative song, this song is arguably the reason most people heard about and got into Billie's music. She also dropped a bunch of singles such as "when the party's over;" included in a later album, "come out and play," and my all-time favorite Billie song, "bitches broken hearts."

2019-20: the year of the green roots

2019 was by far one of Billie's most well-known eras. The green roots are one of Billie's most iconic looks and ended up becoming her most well-known looks too. This was also the year she dropped her most popular album, "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?" Alongside the album, Billie also dropped "everything I wanted" and "No Time To Die," the latter being used for the famous 007 series, specifically the most recent one, "007: No Time To Die."

2021 was a redefining year for Billie. She released “Happier Than Ever” and changed up her look from the iconic green roots to a sophisticated blonde.
